GOLF - HIT THE LINKS
The Links at Fisher Island is among the best 9-hole golf courses in the country providing the perfect opportunity for Club members to hone their game from two sets of tees. The course, designed by celebrated golf course designer P.B. Dye, is a worthy challenge for golfers of all levels with its fast playing Paspalum grass and artfully placed lagoons, bunkers, and laser-leveled tees. The Links features a full-size driving range with short-game facilities – just the place for improving one’s skills alone or with the assistance of one of the Club’s golf professionals. After a day on The Links, members can retreat to the comfort of the Golf Grill to relax and recount the day’s best shots.
SHIPSHAPE - THE MARINAS
With its Atlantic front-row location Fisher Island’s two surge-proof marinas allow yachtsmen to sail immediately into the Gulf Stream to enjoy sportfishing or explore Florida’s coastline and islands in minutes.
Here, Fisher Island Club members have access to one of the few Miami marinas to accommodate yachts over 200 feet in length. The picturesque inner marina is framed by roof-tiled villas, palm trees and a large coral stone fountain piazza at its end. Arranged around it are Porto Cervo and La Trattoria restaurants, and the Island Market with a gourmet food store and a delicatessen.
Recently, the marinas have been lavishly refurbished to include handsome hardwood decking and pilings, the latest power pedestals, security cameras and constant monitoring systems.
SUPREME COURT - TENNIS
The Fisher Island Racquet Club boasts one of the finest tennis facilities in the country and is considered among the best worldwide. The Mediterranean-inspired Club offers 18 tennis courts featuring four different types of playing surface – two grass courts, two red clay courts, two DecoCushion hard courts and 12 Har-Tru clay courts – all with superior lighting for day or night play. Maintained to championship-level standards at all times the courts are surrounded by lush green tropical hedging to ensure complete privacy. The Racquet Club also houses a Pro Shop offering instruction, the latest tennis merchandise and locker facilities complete with steam rooms.
